Uganda
PFJ has a growing relationship with many in the country of Uganda. Our principal relationship is with the Apostolic Ministry of Christ based in Manafa (formally Mbale) district in the east of the country.
In addition we have developing links in both Kampala and Masaka (a town in the west of the country) with other church networks. We are in the process (April 2007) of developing an office to be used as a base for our work into Central and East Africa.
Apostolic Ministry Of Christ
This is a network of churches based in the rural location of Buwesunguyi about 26 km from Mbale town. We are mainly involved in bringing teaching to the Churches and training the Pastors. There is an incredible hunger for the word of God highlighted on one occasion by 7 people who travelled 17 hours by bicycle to be with us.

Social Action
This part of Uganda faces many challenges because of its dependence on subsistence living. There is no electricity and poverty is very apparent. Poor health, in particular the problem of Malaria is a regular battle people face. We have started to address the situation in different ways such as the provision of:
- Mosquito nets
- Pigs to develop a pig rearing business
- Blankets and mattresses for widows
- Night dresses for widows
In 2007 we are going to embark on building a health clinic which will have an examination room, treatment room, drugstore and provide health information. The project will cost £4950 to build; once built we intend to employ a nurse who will be responsible with the churches for running the project.
